Director of Psychology and AHP

As an experienced clinical leader, you will develop appropriate performance management systems and structures for the Trust’s psychological therapy, AHP, and social work services and workforce. You will support Service and Locality Directors in monitoring and managing performance, and ensure Trust priorities are met with a proportionally shared accountability and responsibility for the quality delivery of services. You will also lead on developments across services aiming for a model of continuous improvement.  

You will provide professional leadership for Psychologists, AHPs, and Social Workers (and associated psychological therapies and counsellors as appropriate) to ensure these professional groups effectively contribute to the Trust strategic planning processes, and the achievement of Trust objectives and performance priorities.  

You must be Professionally qualified (Doctorate or equivalent) as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, or hold a Professional qualification in one of the mental health professions with an additional professional qualification in Psychological Therapy.   

You will have substantial leadership experience, as well as experience of working as a qualified psychologist/ psychological therapist at consultant level within NHS mental health services, with experience of working with a wide variety of patient groups across the whole life course, and presenting with the full range of clinical severity across the full range of care settings.
